Throwback: When Katrina Kaif said ‘I don’t calculate and choose scripts’
There is no denying that Katrina Kaif is among the most successful Bollywood actresses. In her twenty-year career, the actress has starred in a number of blockbuster films. In truth, Katrina has never been afraid to own up to her faults and put her heart on her sleeve. The Sooryanvanshi actress has experienced her fair share of ups and downs this far, and her journey has served as a great source of inspiration for her admirers. In fact, in a vintage interview, Katrina spoke about her process for finalizing a script.
In the interview, Katrina was asked about what influenced her on choosing or signing a film. To which the actress replied, “I don’t calculate and choose scripts. At that moment of saying yes, I would have something in my mind that this is what I want to do.” She further narrated how she chose the film Dhoom 3 while listening to a song, “I thought I want to do something different with the songs I am doing.”
The 38-year-old actress was questioned whether she was choosy when it came to her co-stars. She said, “I don’t think anyone approaches me with a (pre-decided) cast. Out of my last five films, I was on board for two even before the male actors were signed on. If it’s a good script, by default you would get a well-known actor or big star.”
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Katrina will next feature in her upcoming film Phone Bhoot alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter. The ‘bhayanak comedy’ is slated to release in theatres on October 7, 2022. Katrina also has many other films lined up which include Tiger 3, Merry Christmas, and Jee Le Zara.
