Trolls call Amitabh Bachchan "buddha," megastar replies, “I pray no one insults you when you grow old”
Even at the age of 79, Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan continues to have a large fan base and remains to be a part of quality movies. A recent social media incident showed that even a legend like Big B is not safe from online trolls, who tend to go all out with attacks for no apparent reason. Big B, on the other hand, took these remarks in stride.
On Sunday about 11:30 a.m., the Sholay (1975) actor took to his Facebook page to wish his fans a good morning. While his fans wished him well, others questioned why he sent morning greetings so late in the day. "Don't you think you've wished for a good morning very early?" one questioned in Hindi, to which the legendary actor replied, "I am grateful for the taunt. But I was working late night, shooting wrapped up this morning. I got late in waking up, so sent wishes as soon as I did. If it hurt you then I apologise."
Amitabh also responded to a slew of insulting comments, one of which read,"Abe buddhe dopahar ho gayi (It's midday, old man).” "I pray that you have a long age but that no one insults you by calling you a 'buddha' then," Big B responded. One user called him a 'budhau (old man),' and as Amitabh's followers defended him against the troll, claiming that he might be in a different time zone, the actor responded, "Let him say, he is telling the truth. No I am in the country only. I was working all night so woke up late."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Big B will be next seen in Brahmastra, Uunchai and Hindi remake of the The Intern.
