Varun Dhawan reveals he got into frequents fights with Kiara Advani while filming Jugjugg Jeeyo; she called him ‘chauvinistic’
Jugjugg Jeeyo, (2022) directed by Raj Mehta, marked the first time that Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani worked together. The film sheds light on family dynamics and complex emotions. Prior to filming a fight scene, Varun and Kiara fought two or three times, revealed Varun. The director of the film, Raj had to intervene because their fight was so heated.
Varun revealed that he and Kiara had disputes while filming since he recalled a violent fight scene from the film. He said, “I and Kiara got into 2-3 fights before we shot the scene genuinely. Because we were discussing the scene and she was like ‘I will say this.’ And I was like ‘but that’s not my point of view.’ As a man that’s not my point of view. I have to earn for my family because that’s what I have been taught. She’s like ‘no you are chauvinistic’ How’s that chauvinistic? Your brother and father think the same way. Then why am I chauvinistic if I feel I need to earn for my family. That’s what I was taught by my parents in childhood.”
Jugjugg Jeeyo is a family entertainer. In addition to Varun and Kiara, it also stars Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor in key roles. It was released on June 24. The film is currently running in cinemas.
