Vivek Oberoi says, ‘Rohit Shetty has changed his language of cinema just for OTT’, Indian Police Force
Recent teasers for the upcoming Amazon Prime series Indian Police Force gave us some intense looks at Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty, and Vivek Oberoi as Indian police officers. For those who are unfamiliar, coming from the Rohit Shetty Cinematic Universe, where he has paid homage to them in several ways with movies like Singham, Simmba, and Sooryavanshi, he will now move to the web and make his debut as a web series director with Indian Police Force.

Vivek Oberoi, who will play a crucial role in the Indian Police Force, recently discussed working with Rohit Shetty in an interview with PTI. He also discussed how the filmmaker, who is renowned for his extravagant action, tried to keep the web series as authentic as possible. When discussing it, Vivek stated, “The larger-than-life Rohit Shetty signature is there but it is still palpably real. He has changed his language of cinema just for OTT. With the scale and the passion with which Rohit has made this, he will set a benchmark with the ‘Indian Police Force’. He took four years to get the script right,”
He continued by explaining how he discovered this opportunity and what motivated him to accept it, “When I met him, he said he is making a show, which he has been writing for four years and he had me in mind. That to me is a big compliment. He had the humility to say, ‘Read it, see if you like it, and give me your feedback. I gave him my feedback and I loved the show, and the character and suggested a few things.”
In the MX Player series Dharavi Bank, Vivek Oberoi will portray a Delhi police officer who is at odds with a notorious mobster played by Suniel Shetty as he makes an effort to topple his empire.
