Salman Khan is among the most popular actors in the world. Millions of hearts beat faster because of his strong aura and dashing demeanor. The superstar has proven his mettle time and time again by delivering memorable performances in a series of blockbuster films. He has primarily worked in commercial, family-oriented films, yet a couple of his more intense roles continue to astonish his fans.

Being Salim Khan's son, the Hum Aapke Hain Koun (1994) actor has had a difficult time surviving in the industry, but he is one of the few celebrities who has publicly admitted to being the result of nepotism and how fortunate he is to be his father's son.

Salman was ranked one of the world's top ten most handsome men in 1997. He was quoted by a news source about his thoughts on the subject, “I read that news item too and took the compliment in my stride. I don’t know the people who gave me this title. In fact, I don’t believe it. In Bandra where I stay, there are thousands of boys who are better-looking than me. When I look at them, I wish I looked like them.”

He also acknowledged being Salim's son, saying, “If I hadn’t been born in my father’s house, God knows what I would be doing today! I have not done anything to earn this title because I was born like this. It is God’s grace.”
