Yami Gautam to play a lawyer in OMG: Oh My God! 2
Yami Gautam is on cloud nine these days. The Kaabil actress is winning laurels for her performance in the psychological thriller A Thursday (2022). She will next be seen as a tough cop in Dasvi (2022). Her line-up of upcoming projects looks interesting and her fans are super-excited to see what’s more in store.
As per reports, Yami is all set to play a lawyer in her next film OMG: Oh My God! 2. She will be playing one of the lead roles alongside Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Arun Govil.
Speaking about her role in the film, Yami said, "OMG 2 is a legit sequel to OMG but a totally different topic, message but the structure is the same. I play a lawyer, and it's a courtroom drama. So, it will be verbose. You have to be loud. But the challenge in that is how to not make it verbose or boring or make people feel like a long speech is coming. The audience shouldn’t know it’s a speech of 5 pages. In A Thursday, my last scene was of 9 pages, but I did it in one flow and take, but you shouldn’t feel that. The idea is to not make it look like you are being preachy or giving a long message."
OMG: Oh My God! 2 is helmed by Amit Rai. It revolves around the subject of the Indian education system and features Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva. The film is slated to release by the end of 2022.
