According to trade reports, it only made Rs 85 lakh on its first day, bringing the movie's total net domestic revenue to around Rs 9.58 crore. The movie's box office performance doesn't appear to be improving. If things keep going the way they are, it might soon be removed from the theatres. On December 8, An Action Hero had an overall Hindi occupancy of 8.45%.
