It’s already been seven days into 2023 and with no new release, it looks like these two non-Hindi films are creating magic at the theatres. Riteish Deshmukh’s Ved seems to be in no competition for James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water but still is earning great numbers. On the other hand, Rohit Shetty directed Cirkus starring Ranveer Singh has emerged as a flop in cinemas.

Ved Box Office collections

The audience has expressed admiration for the Marathi film starring Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza. The actor makes his directing debut with this film. Majili is a Telugu film that is remade as Ved. After a respectable start of Rs 2.25 crore, the rise over the following two days (Saturday, 3.25 crore, and Sunday, 4.50 crore) was impressive. Ved reportedly generated more than Rs 20 crore in its first week of release, according to trade reports. While Genelia and Riteish's movie had a minor decline throughout the course of the week, it still managed to draw in a respectable amount of viewers. It's fantastic that the movie made more than Rs 20.67 crore in its opening week. According to trading data, Ved earned Rs 2.70 on day 8.

Avatar: The Way of Water collections

Avatar: The Way of Water by James Cameron, which received a thunderous reception when it debuted in December, kept shining in its third week. Box Office India reports that the movie had an incredible third week, earning an additional Rs 56.50 crore, bringing its domestic total to Rs 340.5 crores. Avengers: Endgame made Rs 20 crore in its third week of release. It is currently attempting to surpass the Dangal lifetime earnings of Aamir Khan, which are currently at Rs 387.38 crore.
