All thanks to its loyal viewers base, Jurassic World: Dominion (2022) witnessed a good growth at the Indian box office on Saturday. The film has done good business in the Hindi circuits and has raked in an impressive collection, despite not-so-great reviews by critics.

On the other hand, Akshay Kumar's Samrat Prithviraj (2022) is struggling at the ticket window. Interestingly, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022) in its fourth week has collected as much as Samrat Prithviraj in its second week. The former is giving a stiff competition to the latter, which has proven to be a box office disaster.

Jurassic World Dominion saw an upward trend on Saturday after a great Thursday previews of Rs. 3.75 crore and a whopping Rs 8 crore on Friday. The dinosaur-related film on Saturday minted around Rs. 11-12 crore nett and its total tally stood at Rs. 22.50 – 23.50 crore nett by Saturday end. Early trends suggest that the Sunday numbers of the film would be above Rs. 10 crore, taking the total nett collection to Rs. 33 - 35 crore.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, in its fourth week, saw a 60 percent growth on Friday as it collected between Rs. 2.10 - 2.25 crore at the BO. The horror-comedy film directed by Anees Bazmee and starring Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, Tabu and Rajpal Yadav will soon breach the Rs. 175 cr mark in India (nett) and Rs. 230 cr worldwide. The film is also expected to surpass the collection of Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi, which was the highest grosser of 2021.

Struggling at the box office right now is the much hyped film Samrat Prithviraj. After bagging a total of Rs 54.60 crore in its first week, the film minted Rs 1.80 on Friday. Trade analysts have already termed it a failure as the Yash Raj Film may is unlikely to recover its budget. Early trends indicate a Rs. 70 crore India nett and Rs. 90 crore gross worldwide collection for the Akshay Kumar film.
