Judwaa 2 does not seem to stop! Weekend 2 box-office report!

Varun Dhawan , Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez ’s Judwaa 2 is on a roll! The movie received mixed reviews from the critics, however, the audience seems to have loved the film considering the satisfying box-office response. The movie witnessed ample footfalls at the theatres during its second weekend and managed a good collection being unaffected by the new releases. David Dhawan and Sajid Nadiadwala’s collaboration after 20 years for the sequel of their 90s hit film Judwaa has been a fruitful one.

The film made Rs. 4.25 crores on its second Friday. It further raked in Rs. 5.75 crores on Saturday and Rs. 8.10 crores on Sunday (Weekend 2). Hence the total collection stands at Rs. 116.18 crores at the domestic box-office. The film had a perfect release timing with a long holiday weekend. It gained maximum collection during the festivities as people enjoyed a massy family entertainer.

Judwaa 2 is amongst the successful films of this year! The movie also features Salman Khan in a cameo role which further gave a boost to the film. Varun Dhawan has become a bankable star of his generation as he has not even seen a single flop in his career since Student Of The Year.

Actress Jacqueline Fernandez spoke about the success of Judwaa 2 in a statement, she said, “I was very confident about Judwaa 2 being a success when I first signed the film. Of course, this year has seen a lot of surprising box office results so, there was a little bit of doubt. That slowly kind of went away when we saw positivity coming our way throughout the promotions of Judwaa 2.”
