First Weekend Box Office Collection of 'Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara!'

The past weeks were a festive time for all people of the country. With Eid prior to the Independence Day, the crowd was awaiting happiness. Eid however brought lot of surprises along with it, such as Shah Rukh Khan starrer ' Chennai Express ' came out for the audience judgment and soon it lured them collecting wholesome of moolah that would go hard to count on. The first weekend saw a record breaking collection of 150 crores and the next schedule added more and more to the kitty.

Nevertheless, this might have proved a massive celebration in the B-Town, merely it increased some competition for the 'Independence' release, ' Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara! '. The two flicks went on neck to neck during the release scheduling process, but surprisingly they parted their releases to justify their business equally. The mind blowing business of ' Chennai Express ' was amusing the box office. The Thursday of 'Independence Day' saw another contender stepping into the ring.

Interestingly the scope for extravaganza increased due to a holiday nation wide allured the addition to weekend span. As the buzz wind created the atmosphere, Thursday occupied more than enough which on return grabbed approximate 18 crores at the ticket window for the flick, which also proved better than the paid preview of the earlier release.

But, as the Friday arrived and the reviews catered to serve the audiences, the analysts saw a drastic drop in the business of ' Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara! '. The 18 crores mark stepped down and settled itself to approximate 11 crores assemblage, as the day took a leave. Saturday too went on to disappoint the audiences, which surely got reflected in the collection of approximate 8 crores for the day.

Sunday however was assumed to provide a dawn to the darkness of disappointment but, the weekend was down with an average business of approximate 15 crores. As the super hit pairing of Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha stole the lime light with their earlier show downs, this was supposed to be a cake walk for them. But today it seems that the icing of entertainment just missed its place for this duo accompanied with Imran Khan when compared to the second week of its competitor.

Overall the flick has managed to collect 52 crores approximately. Hope it manages to hold its position with increasing viewership or else the sinking will surely be a predicted future for this ship.
