RRR set to enter 1000 cr club; mints over Rs 900 cr
There seems to be no stopping to Jr. NTR and Ram Charan starrer RRR (2022) when it comes to box office collection. The movie, which released on March 25, is on its 10th day and the box office collections have been tremendous so far.
RRR has benefitted from the Ugadi holiday and has so far minted over Rs 901.46 crore during its second weekend (day 10) at the box office.
The run of the film in bollywood has been stupendous too. The film's Hindi version has earned over Rs 200 crore so far in Indian business. RRR Hindi on Friday collected Rs 13.5 crore, on Saturday it minted 18 crore and on Sunday the film did a business of 22 crore.
Furthermore, RRR has now become the second highest-grossing film in Tollywood after south dubbed blockbuster, 'Baahubali - The Conclusion'.
Critics opine that the smooth run of the mega blockbuster will not stop anytime soon. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “RRR is SUPER-SOLID… Will cross Rs 200 crore on Tuesday [Day 12]… TKF and RRR, two Rs 200 crore films in March, incredible indeed… Also, Junior NTR and Ram Charan’s first Rs 200 crore earner [Hindi]… [Week 2] Friday 13.50 crore, Saturday 18 crore, Sunday 20.50 crore. Total: Rs 184.59 crore. India business”
Noteworthy, RRR was written by KV. Vijayendra Prasad and produced by DVV Danayya. An epic period drama set in the British Raj, the film stars Jr.NTR and Ram Charan, along with Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt and Shriya Saran and others playing other pivotal roles in the film.
