Sarkaru Vaari Paata, starring Mahesh Babu, hit the opening day box office of 40 crores, creating a new record. The film was supremely applauded in the bigger urban cities, one of them being Hyderabad. This Telugu state, most definetly put massive numbers into the opening day box office, thus taking over the opening day record of Bheemla Nayak, led by Jr. NTR.

The film did exceptionally well in Hyderabad, making nearly 10 crore, thus trailing much ahead of all non-RRR films. The surprising episode here is that, though the day one box office collection was so well, the occupancies weren’t meeting the expectations for sure. The over hiked ticket prices could be one of the possible reasons. At the end, the high ticket prices are known for cutting footfalls.

The reviews though are maybe telling us a different story. They are not entirely supporting nor entirely dissing the Mahesh Babu led fillm. It’s often observed that though the Telugu films might have record breaking day one box office collection, if the reviews are not siding them, they are sure to crash later. This is something we might see happening with SVP. We got to wait and watch.
