Raazi (2018) actress, Alia Bhatt is currently on a saree spree as she is promoting her upcoming flick Gangubai Kathiawadi. To resonate with her character in the film, she only opted for neutral toned sarees throughout the promotions. While the actress' stunning makeover into a real-life mafia queen, Gangubai, has left fans speechless, many of them have fallen in love with the starlet's aesthetic statements throughout the promotional tour.

Alia Bhatt served her fans with back-to-back breathtaking looks in white sarees. Today is no exception as she slipped into a stunning dotted organza saree for the Gangubai Kathiawadi promotions in Delhi. She donned a light, airy polka dot organza saree from Khyati Pande's fashion label Itr. The saree featured tiny multicoloured polka dots all around its body. She paired it with a sleeveless blouse. Adding her own signature minimal touch to the look, she opted for light makeup and let her hair loose in soft curls. A pair of oxidised floral studs and a small black bindi completed her look.

Alia Bhatt's white saree can be purchased on the website of the company Itr by Khyati Pande. It is priced at Rs 14,500. The blouse, on the other hand, will have to be purchased separately.

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Gangubai Kathiawadi also stars Ajay Devgn, Vijay Raaz, Jim Sarbh and Shantanu Maheshwari in key roles. It is set to hit the silver screens on 25th February, 2022.

Gangubai Kathiawadi is a biographical drama loosely based on the life of Gangubai, a mafia queen who fell in love with her father's accountant, Ramnik, in the 1960s. She aspired to be a part of the Bollywood industry. After marrying Ramnik, she moved to Mumbai, but Ramnik sold her for Rs 500 at Kamathipura's brothel. The movie traces her journey from a prostitute to becoming a political figure in Mumbai.

Gangubai Kathiawadi marks Alia's second biopic. Her first biopic was Raazi (2018) where she played an Indian spy. She was seen alongside Vicky Kaushal in the movie.
