Karan Johar sets style goals in this black tuxedo by Manish Malhotra
Karan Johar is one of the most successful filmmakers Bollywood has ever produced. The Dharma Productions’ head honcho has provided a launchpad to several aspiring actors and directors and is known to be the godfather of many stars of Bollywood. But there is more to the man than he gets the credit for.
Johar is known for his solid friendships with several high-profile celebrities in the industry and fashion designer Manish Malhotra is in the top tier of the pyramid as their friendship goes back to their college days when both were not the industry heavyweights that they are today. The duo has even collaborated on several films.
KJo has to be the most stylish man for his position as he does not shy away from experimenting when it comes to dressing himself up and his social media handles vouch for it. For some of those who do not know, he is a bona fide fashion designer himself. The filmmaker recently posted a picture on Instagram wearing a tuxedo and looking a thorough gentleman.
Stylist Eka Lakhani put him in this all-black customised look, yet again by Manish Malhotra. We noticed some interesting details in his outfit like the pin tucks on the shirt, the beadwork on the blazer’s lapel edges and a very neat patch placed on the lapel that features a lion.
He had the antique silver rings with lion heads carved on them. The black bow and the shoes made him dapper and the black eyewear only added to the swagger.
On the work front, Karan Johar’s next series of projects include Jug Jugg Jeeyo, Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, Yodha, Liger, Brahmastra and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
