Who wore it better: Chitrangda Singh or Esha Gupta?
It does not happen very often but we love it when two divas dress alike and add their own flavour to the outfits they slide in, despite the outfits being the same.
Concept sarees seem to have created their own wave around the Indian fashion scenario and every designer has their own take on them.
Ruffled sarees have been the season’s favourite for the past year and we spotted not one but two Bollywood beauties wearing the beautiful statement saree by the Delhi-based designer Ridhi Mehra.
It’s a beautiful purple ruffled saree, paired with a plunging V-neck blouse having full-length diaphanous lantern sleeves.
The saree is pre-draped concept with no fuss of draping and is complimented by a delicate belt with colourful stones to cinch the waist and hold the drape together.
Bengali beauty Chitrangda Singh and the model turned actress Esha Gupta, ended up wearing the same outfit some time apart but on totally different occasions.
Stylist Akanksha Kapoor chose the outfit for Esha to wear at TIMES group’s Managing director Vineet Jain’s Diwali party.
Esha Gupta played it classy by wearing a pearl and polki choker and earrings set to match up the bejewelled belt that comes with the outfit. Straight hair and soft make-up suited the occasion.
On the other hand, Chitrangda Singh was spotted wearing it at The Kapil Sharma Show few weeks ago where she accompanied Abhishek Bachchan to promote their film Bob Biswas (2021).
Her stylist for the event, Sheefa J Gilani chose pearls and stone earrings in belt’s matching tones to go with the piece. Chitrangda let her beautiful neck be and soft wavy hairstyle made her look charming.
We don’t intend to draw a parallel as both the actresses look brilliant with their own styles.
