Nothing can make anyone happier than watching a Christmas movie, especially if it's corny, silly, or—best of all—so ridiculously horrible that it works.

You'll need to pack the rest of the Christmas season with festive delights once you've scheduled your viewings of the classics (my holy trifecta is Elf, The Holiday, and Love Actually).

Thankfully, we are #blessed with hilariously absurd movies to watch each year.

Here are fresh holiday movies to enjoy this funny season.

Falling for Christmas

Lindsay Lohan is back on your screens and she never looked better! Lohan underwent a difficult period that caused her to take a break from acting, but this holiday season is fortunate for all of us since she is making a comeback in the incredibly romantic film Falling for Christmas. Who doesn't enjoy meet-cute stories? Falling for Christmas definitely provides us with an intriguing meet-cute, so we know we do. When Sierra meets with an unfortunate accident that leaves her with temporary amnesia, her life is perfect—in fact, her boyfriend is set to pop the question—and she has been whisked away on a romantic ski trip.

Christmas With You

The Lohanaissance has received a lot of attention, but I haven't heard nearly enough about the Freddie Prinze Jr.naissance (okay, so it's not quite as catchy).

He portrays Miguel, a single parent and music instructor, and Aimee Garcia plays Angelina, a burned-out pop singer trying to get away from it all, in this pretty paint-by-numbers romantic comedy.

When Angelina comes across a video of a fan performing one of her songs, she makes the decision to go see the fan and fulfil all of her ambitions. She finds not only the motivation she needs to revitalise her profession but also—you probably already guessed this—love there. However, Prinze Jr. and Garcia have great chemistry, and the delightfully cliche themes of grief, family, and love during the holidays ensure that it is a sweet way to spend 90 minutes. You'll be able to map out this script before you even hit play.

Spirited

Nobody asked for a Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds-led musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. But that doesn't mean we hate the fact that it exists.

You are familiar with the plot: on Christmas Eve, the Ghost of Christmas Present (Ferrell) chooses a dark soul to be converted by three spirits. However, Clint Briggs (Reynolds) proves to be the incorrect Scrooge this year, turning the tables and forcing Present to reflect on his past, present, and future.

Although the movie is absurd, there is enough self-aware humour, heart, and tap dancing to keep you interested.

Holidate

We're off to a great start with Emma Roberts and Luke Bracey's 2020 holiday film Holidate. We chose this one to start since we are confident that everyone can connect to it. Holiday season often puts a lot of pressure on relationships, especially when everyone in your family has someone to celebrate with while you do not. Sloane and Jackson are dealing with the same issue, and when they meet and discuss their problems, the solution appears almost too simple.

Operation Christmas Drop

When Operation Christmas Drop was launched in 2020, it quickly rose to prominence as one of the most distinctive and well-liked Christmas films of that year. Even today, it's always energising to revisit this film, therefore we heartily suggest it. Even though Operation Christmas Dropped received mostly negative reviews from critics, it is undoubtedly one of the most endearing Christmas films—and as an added benefit, it is set on a beach! The US military requires Erica, played by Kat Graham, to leave her family's Christmas gathering and travel to Guam for a duty.

She not only meets Andrew, who is portrayed by Alexander Ludwig, in Guam, but she also participates in one of the world's most endearing Christmas customs. We won't give away too much about Operation Christmas Drop, but it beautifully captures the holiday spirit and demonstrates how even the tiniest act can have a profound impact on those who are less fortunate. Operation Christmas Drop contains both romance and life teachings, so it has something for everyone.

In order to prevent you from becoming weary while watching them, we have chosen seven films that, despite sharing a same theme, are completely different from one another. Once you've finished viewing these and are seeking for more, feel free to let us know in the comments if you're looking for a part of a must-watch Christmas movie list—we have plenty more where this came from!
