Veteran Hollywood star Christopher Walken is the latest addition to the starcast of the much awaited film Dune: Part Two. He has joined Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya in the project and will be seen portraying Emperor Shaddam IV.

The story of the second part will commence from the point left off by part one- with Paul Atreides (Chalamet) fighting alongside the Fremen to free the desert planet of Arrakis from the grips of House Harkonnen.

As per a report by an international portal, Walken will feature as the ruler of the known universe who initially sends the Atreides family to Arrakis, with an intention of causing their downfall.

After the success of Dune (2021), the film's sequel is one of the most anticipated flicks this year. Dune 2 is all set to have new additions to the cast. While Pugh is playing Princess Irulan, the daughter of the emperor, Butler has been cast as Feyd-Rautha, the cunning nephew of the baron who is the head of House Harkonnen. Chalamet feature as Paul Atreides in Dune part two.

Dune sequel is all set to begin its shooting this summer in Hungarian capital Budapest with Denis Villeneuve donning the director's hat again. Expectations regarding the film are high due to the successful first installment of Dune.

Dune: Part Two will tentatively hit theatres in 2023.
