Zendaya has now won the acting Emmy twice, breaking a previous record. For her work in Euphoria, Zendaya won Lead Actress in a Drama Series at the 2022 Emmy Awards. The actress already won an Emmy in the same category in 2020 for her work in the movie Euphoria, making this her second triumph in that area.

The 26-year-old actress has now won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series twice, making her the first Black woman to do so and the youngest two-time Emmy winner in the acting category. Zendaya, who played Rue Bennett again in the second season of Euphoria, has won praise from critics for her portrayal. Following her receipt of the honor, Zendaya said: "Thank you to the Academy and my friends and family, some of whom are in attendance this evening. Sam [Levinson] was kind enough to share Rue with me. I appreciate you believing in me, even when there were times when I didn't."

"Anyone who has loved a Rue or feels like a Rue, I want you to know that I'm so grateful for your experiences, and I carry them with me, and I carry her," she continued, mentioning how her goal with the show has been to help people recover.

When Zendaya became the youngest Drama Actress to win an Emmy in 2020, she broke a record. This year, the actress defeated rivals Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh from Killing Eve and Melanie Lynskey and Laura Linney from Yellowjackets, Ozark, The Morning Show, and Yellowjackets, respectively.
