There is a wide range of winners on the 2023 Golden Globes list. The annual award event, which is put on by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, returned to the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles, California with a boom after a silent ceremony the previous year and a year full of criticism from the film industry over voters' lack of diversity!

STEVEN SPEILBERG

Steven Spielberg now has two Golden Globe awards in his collection. Spielberg's coming-of-age film "The Fabelmans" took up the best director prize at the 2023 Golden Globes on Tuesday night.

He stated when he accepted the prize for his autobiographical drama, “I’ve been hiding from this story since I was 17 years old. I put a lot of things in my way of this story.”

THE FABLEMANS

One of the major prizes of the evening went to Steven Spielberg's critically acclaimed drama starring Michelle Williams and Gabriel LaBelle for Best Motion Picture in Drama.

The semi-autobiographical movie is partially based on the formative years of director Steven Spielberg as a filmmaker. The fictional Sammy Fabelman, a young aspiring director, explores how the power of movies might help him deal with his troubled family in the movie, which follows his journey.

CATE BLANCHETT

With her critically acclaimed performance in "Tar," Cate Blanchett, the front-runner of the awards season, took home the prize for best actress in a drama at the 2023 Golden Globes.

Blanchett has received 12 nominations and has won four Golden Globe awards.

AUSTIN BUTLER

Austin Butler won his first Golden Globe for "Best Actor in a Motion Picture — Film" for his exceptional work in the biographical drama "Elvis."

"Oh man, all my words are leaving me! "I just am so grateful right now. I'm in this room full of my heroes," Austin made this statement while praising Brad Pitt and Quentin Tarantino in his award speech.

THE BANSHEES OF INISHERIN

The drama directed by Martin McDonagh, "The Banshees of Inisherin," won the 2023 Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, defeating the clear favourite, "Everything Everywhere All at Once."

The movies "Babylon," "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery," and "Triangle of Sadness" were also nominated in this category.

COLIN FARRELL

The Banshees of Inisherin scored yet another amazing victory! For his unforgettable performance in Martin McDonagh's movie, Colin Farrell has received his second Golden Globe. For McDonagh's movie "In Bruge," Colin received his first Golden Globe award in 2008.

MICHELLE YEOH

Moment of fulfilment for Michelle Yeoh! Yeoh's major role in the action comedy "Everything Everywhere All at Once" earned her the first Golden trophy of her career.

Yeoh noted during her winning speech that she looked magnificent in a black outfit. "Hollywood was a dream come true until I came here."

The Malaysian actress continued, noting that she was asked if she could speak English and called a "minority" in the beginning of her career. ''Forty years later, It’s been an amazing journey and incredible fight to be here today, but I think it’s been worth it."

ANGELA BASSETT

Angela Bassett finally made history at the Golden Globes by winning the award for her portrayal of Queen Ramonda in the "Black Panther" sequel.

Angela paid homage to the late actor Chadwick Boseman, who passed away in 2020, in her acceptance speech.

BEST PERFORMANCE IN SUPPORTING ROLE

The Golden Globe for best supporting actor went to Ke Huy Quan, a first-time candidate, for his work in "Everything Everywhere All at Once."

Quan cried as he accepted the award and said: “I was raised to never forget where I came from, and to always remember who gave me my first opportunity. I am so happy to see Steven Spielberg here tonight.”

HOUSE OF THE DRAGON

The 'House of the Dragon' prequel series to 'Game of Thrones' took home several Golden Globes this year. Miguel Sapochnik's production won Best Television Series - Drama, defeating "Better Call Saul," "Ozark," "The Crown," and "Severance."

RRR

"RRR," an Indian drama, created history! The Telugu movie directed by SS Rajamouli took home the Golden Globe for Best Original Song for the song "Naatu Naatu."

The Telugu song Naatu Naatu was written by Kala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj and was composed by MM Keeravaani, a seasoned music director. Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava have both performed it.
