The DJ and actor Stephen "tWitch" Boss passed away, informed by his wife, in what the Los Angeles media believed to be an apparent suicide.

According to an entertainment website, tWitch was "discovered dead" on Tuesday in a hotel after self-inflicting a gunshot wound to the head.

A Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman confirmed that the officers had responded to a call mid-morning Tuesday of a man's death at a "hotel/motel," according to the most recent stories on international news portals.

HERE’S WHAT WE KNOW

According to newly revealed information regarding the unfortunate death of 40-year-old Boss, he booked into a hotel on December 12 for a one-night stay. His home, where he lived with his wife Allison Holker and their three children, was reportedly less than a mile away from this motel.

He "didn't appear to be in any form of trouble and wasn't clearly unhappy about anything," the staff told TMZ.

According to reports, hotel workers discovered him dead on Tuesday (December 13), with a gunshot wound to the head, in the toilet of his room.

He was discovered, and when paramedics arrived at around 11:15 am, he was declared dead.

After an examination, the deceased "has been deemed a suicide by a gunshot wound to the head," according to Page Six. The case has been concluded, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.

After joining in 2014 and remaining with the show until it ended this year, Boss established himself as a regular on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

He has had appearances in the films "Step Up" and "Magic Mike XXL," as well as the dancing reality series "So You Think You Can Dance."
