Abhishek Kapoor ropes in Katrina Kaif for his next
Talented director Abhishek Kapoor is all set to start his new film based on 'Great Expectations' by Charles Dickens featuring Katrina Kaif and Sushant Singh Rajput.

Abhishek Kapoor who launched the newbies in his recently released ' Kai Po Che ' has achieved his success by chasing the stars. Hence the filmmaker earlier expressed that he wants to work with more newcomers. But Abhishek seems to have delayed his plan to work with newcomers as he has roped in none other than Katrina Kaif as a female protagonist of his next film.
As per the reports, Abhishek recently approached Katrina with his upcoming project and after the long discussion of four hours, Katrina has given a nod to this project. It has been said that Katrina liked the script and is excited to start with the project soon. The buzz is that Abhishek Kapoor 's this project is an adaptation of famous author Charles Dickens classic novel 'Great Expectations' which is a Bildungsroman. This coming of age story is set in early Victorian England which focuses on the journey of an orphan boy named Pip. This novel is considered as the more of an autobiographical novel by Charles Dickens other than 'David Copperfield'.
The producer of this film is none other than Abhishek's cousin and Balaji Productions' head Ekta Kapoor . The source revealed that, Abhishek was facing a bend in his career after ' Rock On ', but after the success of ' Kai Po Che ' things changed for him for good. Abhishek's favorite Sushant Singh Rajput will play the lead character Philip Pirrip in this film. The film is scheduled to go on floors this September.
