Amitabh Bachchan to lend voice for 'Himveer', a documentary on Uttarakhand floods

Uttrakhand flood mayhem shocked the entire nation till its ribs, with many people battling for life and our Indian Army soldiers appeared like God for their rescue. A documentary is filmed to accolade the commendable task done by these brave heroes and this memorial will be voiced by veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan .

The documentary will be 24 minutes long, where respected Bachchan Sir will describe the herculean efforts taken by brave hearted Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), NDRF, IAF and Indian army, who all worked together on the rescue operation.

A senior officer confirmed saying that Amitabh Bachchan was very forthcoming to lend his support for the purpose. The actor will describe the role and challenges, the force experienced many issues during the recent tragedy in Uttarakhand, where it also lost 15 of its troops in an air crash accident.

The documentary is titled as, 'Himveer'- meaning, "Braves of Himalayas", which is documented by ITBP and will be unveiled by Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, R. P. N. Singh on 30th August.

The documentary showcases the images of the rescue operation at the flooded state taken by the security men at the site, who are basically located in the state to guard Sino-Indian frontier. In fact, ITBP officials were the first ones to arrive for the rescue.

'Himveer' also projects the training that ITBP personnel go through, to be ready for the alarming situations which they would have to face in mountainous regions, that are mainly prone to landslides, floods and bad weather.

'Himveer' will be the tribute to all the officials who put their lives in danger to save others. As they truly require a huge ovation, the respected Amitabh Bachchan is the legitimate person to address this documentary.
