Actress Amrita Singh will be playing the role of Arjun Kapoor 's mother in the film adaptation of the book ' 2 States '.
The film is based on the book by Chetan Bhagat , where a Punjabi boy and a South Indian fall in love and overcome their cultural differences and difficulties and get married. Sources say that Amrita Singh will play the role of Arjun Kapoor 's Punjabi mother in the film.
The film is co-produced by Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Abhishek Varman .
