The forthcoming period-drama ' Bajirao Mastani ' will narrate the story of Maratha warrior Peshwa Bajirao, his first wife Kashibai and Mastani, his second wife. Reportedly, Deepika Padukone took training from Pandit Birju Maharaj for a Kathak song in this film.

As told by Deepika, "There is a kathak song in the film. It has been choreographed by Pandit Birju Maharaj. In fact, I was in Delhi for a week for one-on-one sessions with him,". Deepika further added that "Songs in Sanjay Leela Bhansali are films in themselves. There are three songs where I am dancing. I was glad we started that way. You feel that focus is not only you and we are sharing the difficulty factor,"

"Pinga" was the first track of this movie Deepika shot for and she was glad to have Priyanka Chopra for support. ' Bajirao Mastani ' releases on December 18.
