It is a well known fact that Yash Raj's ' Ek Tha Tiger ' is releasing in India on Wednesday, 15 August. But when will it release in the international markets? A lot of speculation is being made about the global release.
Generally, most of the Hindi films release on Thursdays in the key markets like Australia, New Zealand and U.A.E. while in U.K. and U.S.A they are released on Fridays. Hindi films rarely release on Wednesdays overseas, unless it is Christmas or the Independence Day weekend in the U.S. So will ' Ek Tha Tiger ' release on Wednesday or will it release on Thursday/Friday according to the international market?
Well, Yash Raj has taken the decision to release the film globally on Wednesday. They had informed their international partner-distributors well in advance about the Wednesday release. All the major international markets will be covered in the first phase whereas markets such as Japan and Turkey would be explored by the distributors in the second phase.
Reportedly, in the first phase of distribution, more than 400 prints of ' Ek Tha Tiger ' will be in circulation. ' Ek Tha Tiger ' is expected to have one of the widest releases in the international markets.
