Actress Deepika Padukone has spoken in lengths about her fight against depression. And if this lady can beat the mighty depression so very well, then she is definitely skilled enough to handle ‘identical crisis’ that she is facing by foreign paparazzi.
There are number of videos floating on internet that shows how Deepika is mistaken to be Priyanka Chopra . Well, it can be disturbing for the one who has her own identity in millions of mind. But, Deepika has a strong opinion on ‘identical crisis’ and is outspoken about how Indian media should handle it maturely.
As per an interview given to IANS, Deepika said “To me it’s racist and ignorant. And as a fellow Indian, you (the media) should also be not very happy about. I think just because people have similar skin tones, doesn’t mean they are same people. As people in a place of power that the media has, instead of creating a tabloid piece of out it, people should be educating them further.”
Deepika made her Hollywood debut in xXx: Return Of Xander Cage, opposite Vin Diesel. Attending several international event since then, she is now looking forward to attend Cannes Film Festival as the brand ambassador of L’Oreal Paris.
