'Kochadaiiyaan' to release on May 9?

Rajinikanth , Deepika Padukone starrer ' Kochadaiiyaan ' postponed its release date and the buzz was spread that the film will now release on May 1. However, the latest news reports put the speculations to an end by revealing that ' Kochadaiiyaan ' will be releasing on May 9.
A spokesperson from Eros International refuted the rumours by mentioning that "It is surprising that 1st May was being floated around as a release date. We never announced it. We are making an official announcement only now and to put on record, 9th May is final for the film," Due to election season in Tamil Nadu, the release date announcement is put on hold, as per the reports.
The makers desire that the film should release after the elections and a close source said that "That's right. We had to keep all of that in mind. Now that all plans are firmed up, we are sure that audience worldwide can brace up for an extravagant outing. Fans of Thalaivar and Deepika are in for a mega outing."
