Megastar Amitabh Bachchan to Carry London Olympics Torch Today
The Olympic flame is about to visit the iconic landmarks all over the London city on July 26. And good news for India as well as the fans of the megastar Amitabh Bachchan is that the superstar has been invited by the London Olympic Organizing Committee to be one of the esteemed torchbearers of the London Olypmics!

The Olympic flame is about to visit the iconic landmarks all over the London city on July 26. And good news for India as well as the fans of the megastar Amitabh Bachchan is that the superstar has been invited by the London Olympic Organizing Committee to be one of the esteemed torchbearers of the London Olypmics!
Mr. Bachchan will carry the London Olympics torch today, a day prior to the opening ceremony of the Games. He will be a part of the 32.7 mile relay team that has legendary personalities from all over the world and all walks of life carrying the prestigious Olympics torch. He will be carrying the Olympics 2012 torch on the 26th of July in Southwark at 10:30am.
Mr. Bachchan's thrill and excitement was reflected from his tweets. He tweeted: "OK !! HERE IT IS : Have been invited by London Olympic Organizing Committee to carry the torch in the relay tomorrow."
One of his tweets said: "Honoured to be asked to carry the Olympic Torch in London at Southwark around 10:30 AM !! A proud moment for me and country!"
Mr. Bachchan has been the face of the Indian cinema country's rich cultural heritage for over a decade now. He has thanked those who congratulated him on this achievement and honour.
Apart from Mr. Bachchan, other eminent personalities who will be a part of this grand event include Lawrence Dallaglio, Jim Anderson,Lewis Moody, Phil Packer, Darren Fitzpatrick and Tom Davis.
