Priyanka Chopra has gone international, but she is still guarded by her roots. The actress has her presence not just limited to Hindi films, but she has ventured into regional cinema as well. Her latest development being, the first Sikkimese film Pahuna that she will be producing under home banner Purple Pebble Pictures.
Film Pahuna is about three Nepali children who get separated from their parents, while escaping Maoist from Nepal to Sikkim. It showcases their unbeatable strength and courage. Being the first Sikkimese film, it has garnered the support Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling and Ministry of Tourism Sikkim.
With this Purple Pebble Pictures is also venturing into the genre of children cinema announcing three films in Sikkimese, Konkani and Hindi language.
