Imtiaz Ali 's directorial ' Tamasha ' starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone in the lead, has witnessed a good weekend. A Box-office hit is indeed a must for Ranbir's career in the industry, after delivering three back to back flops. At the success bash of his latest release, Ranbir opened up about the initial success of the film.

Ranbir said that, "You can never challenge the audience, audience is king. I remember when a film of mine 'Rocket Singh' had released and I was really disappointed that nobody went to see it. He added that, "But later in life, as you grow older in life, you realize that you cannot challenge an audience, what they say, is their verdict. If some people have not liked the film, you have to accept it." Ranbir is happy about the positive start and says that the film should do well during the weekdays also, to be declared as fully successful. When asked about his flops, Ranbir stated that, "I had never gone anywhere, I was still working in the same way. Just because my films didn't work doesn't mean that I disappeared somewhere, I was here. 'Jeena yahan marna yahan iske siva jaana kaha'."
