Salman Khan to commence clean-up drive, decides to rehabilitate slum kids

Salman Khan will begin a clean-up drive on the occasion of his 50th birthday.

Along the lines of Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has commenced his own clean-up drive on November 1. "Dabangg" Khan was gearing up for release of ' Prem Ratan Dhan Payo ' and he urged fans to spruce up their neighbourhood, asked them to send videos and pictures as they are seen doing the task. Salman would be sharing these pictures and videos on the social media. For this task, Salman promised to give his fans goodies from his charitable trust. He gave message to his fans to 'be good, do good'.

Many of the fans kick-started sweeping immediately and now, Sallumia is looking forward to take this campaign to the next level. On December 27, Salman will celebrate his 50th birthday with family and close friends. On the occasion of his birthday, he will begin a cleanup drive and more than 500 volunteers will be nominated on social media who can join Salman for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan as the de-facto mascot.

Salman Khan 's foundation supports NGO Aseema and Akshara High School. Dharavi in Mumbai is on Salman's next list and a fund of Rs 1 crore has been created for slum rehabilitation programme that includes providing books, hygiene and healthcare facilities for street children, orphans and homeless pavement dwellers as well as the clean-up drive in the vicinity. Salman's father Salim Khan is closely monitoring this campaign.
