'Shanghai' Disappoints at the Box Office
Before the release of ‘Shanghai’ its makers and distributors were very excited about the project and everyone was expecting a very good result because big name such as Dibakar Banerjee was its director.

Before the release of ' Shanghai ' its makers and distributors were very excited about the project and everyone was expecting a very good result because big name such as Dibakar Banerjee was its director. But BollywoodMDB had already written in its review about its box office predictions and it happened the same!
' Shanghai ' did not do well on Friday and its collection was very low in comparison to ' Rowdy Rathore '. It earned only INR 3.25 crores on Friday and nearly INR 3 crores on Saturday.
It will be very difficult for ' Shanghai ' to recover its making cost from theatre release and it will go very slow. Though it has earned most of its cost through satellite rights, music rights etc. The film was not as good as many critics wrote and failed at the box office.
