Sonam & Rhea Kapoor received PETA's Compassionate Business Award for Rheson!

Sonam Kapoor is one of the few Bollywood divas known to be talented on screen and style icon for the fashion trend she sets. And in order to capitalize her style quotient, Sonam Kapoor and her sister-producer Rhea Kapoor launched a high street fashion brand, Rheson, back in September 2015 and continues to sustain and flourished till date. And recently Rheson being achieved an honorary business award from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India for a line of bags made exclusively of vegan materials, which also adds as an aid to the core agenda of PETA!

At the current state, Indian retail market is the land of opportunity, including for Indian and global fashion industry. And with rising in the retail market in fashion, the demand for leather goods is on a constant rise. Hence the brand Rheson, launched a line of bags made with chosen vegan materials, without losing any fashion elements and aesthetics. Even PETA's fashion expert and associate manager of celebrity and media projects, Benazir Suraiya quotes, “thanks to compassionate companies like Rheson, it's easier than ever to get a killer look without killing animals!”

Although this isn’t first time that Sonam Kapoor took social initiative, as in 2010 she requested Home Ministry to ban glass-coated manja across the state and in 2015 she appealed Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, to ban on classroom dissection for university life-science and zoology students. It is ideal how Bollywood’s true fashionista is still so concerned about society and environment and uses her star power in the interest of society.
