Video: Padmavati is made with honesty and responsibility, says Bhansali
Sanjay Leela Bhansali breaks his silence to clear the rumors and says the film is made responsibly keeping the Rajput pride intact.

Despite being one of the most awaited films by the fans and movie buffs, Sanjay Leela Bhansali ’s Padmavati faced many obstructions, oppositions, and roadblocks. Now, even political parties are involved and trying to hamper the release. There is a rumor that there is a dream sequence in the film between Queen Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji. However, Bhansali, his team, and the actors have cleared that there is no truth to it, there is no such scene is the film.
At several occasions, Padmavati ’s set has been destroyed, shooting is halted and several other things have taken place. Bhansali even has given a written statement to assure and prove that there is no truth to the rumors but since every day, the film was facing a new set of problems and oppositions, the director decided to once again come out and speak about it. Bhansali shared this video where he politely makes a point. Watch it here:
In the video, Bhansali says some heartfelt words. He says that they have made the film with utmost responsibility and honesty. He has kept the pride and honour of the Rajput Samaj intact. He said, “This is my tribute to the sacrifice, valour, and honour of Rani Padmavati!” In the film, Deepika Padukone plays the title role of Queen Padmini, Shahid Kapoor plays Raja Ratan Singh while Ranveer Singh essays Alauddin Khilji.
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Bhansali Productions, Padmavati is slated to release on 1st December 2017.
