View Pic: Harshvardhan Kapoor begins his prep for Abhinav Bindra biopic!

Bollywood’s star kid Harshvardhan Kapoor ’s first film Mirzya by Rakesh Omprakash Mehra may not have impressed the audience but, he is touted to be one of the promising stars. BollywoodMDB has been updating our readers about young lad Harshavardhan Kapoor ’s upcoming film which is a biopic on the life of Professional Indian Shooter and business man Abhinav Bindra. The interesting bit about the film is that Harshvardhan’s father Anil Kapoor will also feature in the movie. They will play father-son in reel life too for this movie.

Now, the young actor has started preparing for the movie and recently he met the man himself, Abhinav Bindra and had a productive chat. Harsh has even visited Navi Mumbai shooting rage to meet Bindra’s coach. He also checked out the rifles to get the feel of it!

Harshvardhan posted the picture on social media and wrote: “Beginnings are very special. Especially when you get to play a character that has made the nation proud on the world stage. I am stoked to have been chosen to play Abhinav Bindra and hopefully will do justice to the man, the legend! Like the man himself said ‘Hard Work is a talent’.”

In an interaction with Mid-Day , Harshvardhan spoke about working on the film. He said, "The biopic is a big responsibility because of the subject matter. It is the most mammoth responsibility I've ever shouldered. I roped in Abhay, who wrote the final draft of Bhavesh Joshi, to work on a new draft of the Bindra biopic. We are taking the script into a really exciting place. It's about externalising internal conflicts, and making it emotionally and visually spectacular."

Director Kannan Iyer has around three long years researching the Bindra story since biopics on the life of real people must be factual and look realistic. To give details about the ace shooter, Abhinav Bindra has represented India in World, Olympics and Commonwealth games in the 10 m Air Rifle events and despite being a celebrated sportsperson, he is also a well-known businessman and CEO of Abhinav Futuristics.
