It's been a year since the release of SS Rajamouli's RRR starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan, which made Indian cinema prouder. Yes, exactly one year ago, on March 25, 2022, at the peak of COVID-19, RRR was released and ever since then the film has been unstoppable. On the day of its release, the film caused chaos in the nation. The theatres were filled to capacity with fans and other Telugu audiences. Everyone just spoke about the film’s visuals, the lead star’s acting, and the plot of the film.

SS Rajamouli is the guy behind it all, and we should all be grateful for the master filmmaker's vision of creating the best picture in modern Indian cinema. ‘RRR’ is proof that when the content is good, nothing and no one can stop the audience from enjoying the film on the big screen. That’s not it, the film has made our country prouder with its remark on a global scale.

‘RRR’ Achievements

The film recently made history by winning Oscars for Best Original Song ‘Nattu Nattu’. The song took the globe by storm and put Indian cinema and music on the world map. It competed against songs sung by Global pop stars Rihana and Lady Gaga.

Not only this, but the song also won the prestigious Golden Globes Award this year as well for Best Original Song. The Biggie also took the awards for Best Stunts and Best Music (Naatu Naatu).

Today, as the film marks one year at theatres, the #RRR has been trending on Twitter, and fans have been pouring out love and expressing their pride that the film has brought them. The makers also shared a gratitude post for fans as the movie marks one year. Their post’s had the poster of RRR’ along with all the achievements of the film mentioned. The caption read: “This feeling is bigger than any award, and we cannot thank you all enough for all the love you have showered throughout.”

Thanks also to the lyricist Chandrabose and the singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava. And, of course, the brain behind it all, SS Rajamouli, deserves applause from every corner of the globe. From the 131 nominations, ‘RRR’ has received 60 international awards. Beyond that, RRR is the only Indian film in modern cinema to run consistently and successfully for 365 days in any area of the world.
