‘Captain Miller’ will be released in three installments:

Dhanush's film ‘Captain Miller's’ director also stated in the interview that the film's second portion of the overall plot was not featured in the film and would not be completed until the prequel and sequel are released.

While discussing the possibility of the film's additional parts being released, Arun Matheswaran has stated that both the prequel and the sequel will cost more than the budget of ‘Captain Miller.’ This means that only if the original picture is well-received in theatres will both films be made.

In addition, the filmmaker revealed plans for his next collaboration with Dhanush through the actor's own production business, Wunderbar Films, which recently produced the film ‘Maari 2’ in 2018. The following cooperation is claimed to be a distinct narrative from the actor-director pairing.

About Dhanush’s Work Front:

Dhanush was most recently seen in Venky Atluri's 2023 bilingual film ‘Vaathi/Sir’, which was released in both Tamil and Telugu. The film, Dhanush's Telugu debut, received mixed reviews from reviewers.

Furthermore, his next release, ‘Captain Miller’, was originally scheduled for Christmas, but with both ‘Salaar’ and ‘Dunki’ clashing, the creators have chosen a Pongal release for next year. The film was formerly rumoured to be based on the life of real-life LTTE guerrilla Captain Miller. The filmmaker, on the other hand, has dismissed the rumours.

Furthermore, Dhanush is returning to directing with his next project, tentatively titled ‘D50’. S. J. Suryah, Sundeep Kishan, Nithya Menen, Kalidas Jayaram, Aparna Balamurali, and others star in the film, which is his second directorial endeavour following the 2017 film ‘Pa Paandi.’
