Jacqueline Fernandez has been dominating the news lately but for all the wrong reasons. Over the past few weeks, the Enforcement Directorate has questioned her several times in connection with the ₹200 crore money laundering case, masterminded by conman Sukesh Chandrashekar. The actress is believed to have received a plethora of expensive gifts from the conman.

It looks like her alleged association with Chandrashekar has finally started costing her heavily. After being dropped from Salman Khan’s Da-bangg tour, Fernandez has now reportedly been booted out of Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film Hari Hara Veera Mallu.

However, director Krish Jagarlamudi explains that her exit from the project has nothing to do with her ongoing issues with the probe agency.

“Jacqueline was unable to do the film because of some date issues. She opted out last year and we replaced her with Nargis Fakhri. The media is unnecessarily raking up an old issue at a time when Jacqueline is in the news. I repeat, her exclusion from Hari Hara Veera Mallu happened almost a year back,” says Jagarlamudi.

Talking about the project, Jagarlamudi said that it is a lavish costume drama set during the Moghul dynasty. He added that Pawan Kalyan will be seen in the role of a 17th century outlawed hero while actress Nargis is cast as Roshanara, who will have the beautiful radiant look of a Mughal empress.
