Jailer: Rajnikanth’s 169th film’s first look released; makers announce that Thalaiva will start shooting for the flick from today
On Monday, the first look for the next Rajinikanth film Jailer was revealed. In the picture, the 71-year-old actor takes an aggressive pose. He has a beard and a grumpy expression. I am a man you don't want to mess with, he seems to be expressing. The appearance was made public as the movie's filming began on Monday. The movie, which Nelson Dilipkumar wrote the script for and directed, is funded by Sun Pictures and made by the team behind Rajinikanth's previous film.
Thalaivar never fails to astound us when it comes to dressing in unusual ways for his roles. According to sources, the majority of the movie will be shot on a set constructed in Hyderabad's film city. In the movie, Shivarajkumar, better known by his stage name Shivanna, will play a pivotal part. In Jailer, he will be viewed as the adversary. Rajinikanth was last seen in the 2021 family drama Annaatthe. The film by director Siva, which is set in a village, received mixed reviews upon its debut and didn't break any box office records as is customary for Rajinikanth productions.
