South hottie Vijay Deverakonda, whose last release Liger failed to create magic at the box office, was recently at the receiving end of trolls on social media. Recently, the actor was spotted outside Mumbai airport (along with alleged girlfriend Rashmika Mandanna) while travelling to Maldives for a vacation. However, a certain section of social media users slammed his 'drab outfit ' and wondered if he has lost his verve post the debacle of Liger.

Sporting a baggy, navy blue trousers and an oversized grey sweatshirt, Vijay's look was casual and simple. He wore chappals and was sporting a cool pair of black shades as well.

While fans of Vijay admired his basic picks, trolls lashed out mercilessly at him. One user wrote: "He looks like homeless", another wrote: "Ye Liger ke baad gayab kahan ho gaya tha dikhta hi nahi". Similarly, another said: "Film flop hone ke baad isko shock lag gaya hai... Achcha hai ek baar isko seekh mil gayi ke Ananya ke saath no kaam".

Noteworthy, Vijay Deverakonda starred in Liger as an MMA fighter alongside Ananya Panday, Ramya Krishna, and Ronit Roy in pivotal roles. American boxer Mike Tyson plays an extended cameo.

Written and directed by Puri Jagannadh and shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu languages, Liger was produced by Dharma Productions and Puri Connects.

The sports drama was released theatrically on 25 August 2022 but received overwhelmingly negative reviews from critics. The film was a box-office bomb despite wide scale publicity and extensive promotions, which were termed by some critics as 'overhyped' and 'reason for the film's failure'.
