Mohanlal and Mammootty are two of the most popular stars in the Malayalam industry and it's an occasion to rejoice for the fans when the duo comes together . Most recently, Mammootty paid a visit to Mohanlal's new home in Ernakulam. Both of them posted a photo of their meeting on social media. The megastar later confirmed that the picture was taken during his visit to the Barroz actor's new home.

The meeting was part of the early discussions for the pair's rumoured reunion for Fazil's Harikrishnans (1998) sequel, which was also fuelled by the visit. There were rumours earlier this week that the director had been working on the project alongside Mohanlal and Mammootty and that it would very possibly be his last venture.

In the movie's sequel, which will see Mohanlal and Mammootty reprise their roles as lawyers Krishnan and Hari, it was also claimed that Fahadh Faasil would play a crucial part.

After 14 years apart, the two actors will reunite on the big screen in full-length roles, albeit there hasn't been any formal confirmation on this. In Twenty-20, which was released in 2008, had them sharing the screen space together.

Coming back to Mammootty's current endeavours, he is now working on the next Malayalam movie Rorschach. The film's final schedule, which is described as a dramatic action thriller, just took place in Dubai.

On the other hand, the filming of Mohanlal's first directorial effort, Barroz, has recently finished. The movie is based on Jijo Punnoose's novel of the same name and is produced by Aashirvaad Cinemas.
