Naga Chaitanya is currently busy promoting his Bollywood debut film Laal Singh Chaddha which was released in theatres last Thursday. Chay has done a number of hit movies over the years and built a name for himself. Despite a rocky start, Naga Chaitanya has had a great career in Telugu films. He made his acting debut in the 2009 movie Josh, which had a great opening but ultimately failed at the box office. Chaitanya said in a recent interview that he was "scarred" by a movie-related incident.

In a recent interview, Chaitanya mentioned that he doesn't visit the theatres exhibiting his movies on opening day to ascertain the reaction of the audience. He says, “A lot of people go for the first day. I can’t because I am a wreck. I have severe anxiety problems on the day the film is released. It’s like what if they don’t respond, what if they don’t laugh, what if they get up and go away,”

The Majili actor then acknowledged that he had pursued Josh, and the events that followed left him scarred. “For my first film Josh, I went to the theatre and of course, it was brilliant when it opened but it didn’t do too well. Towards the end of the film, people started getting up and walking out and that hit me hard. I was like ‘I am here to entertain people and I am not able to do that. That experience scared me but it also taught me a lot. After that film, I have never gone back to the theatre to experience that because I just have that memory in my head but I do want to break it one day,” revealed Chaitanya.

Naga Chaitanya and Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha hit the theatres on August 11. Chay plays Laal's closest friend Balraju in the movie. Laal Singh Chaddha, which is directed by Advait Chandan and written by Atul Kulkarni, is the Hindi adaptation of the classic Forrest Gump movie starring Tom Hanks. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mona Singh in pivotal roles. Chay also has NC22 with Krithi Shetty and a web series named Dhootha alongside Prachi Desai in his lineup.
