‘Tiger Nageswara Rao’, Ravi Teja's highly anticipated period-action thriller, is likely to be one of the year's biggest blockbusters. The action-packed film, directed by Vamsi, tells the story of a robber from Stuartpuram who has become a local legend for his daring heists and ability to outwit the police. Despite the fact that the actor has been aggressively promoting the pan-India release, a recent interview with him sparked controversy for all the wrong reasons.
Ravi Teja was asked about one attribute he would like to take from some of his fellow actors during an interview, considering his role as a thief in the film. His response to this question has since sparked considerable debate. Ravi Teja stated that he would like to steal Ram Charan and Thalapathy Vijay's dance abilities, as well as Prabhas' captivating demeanour, even calling him a sweetheart. When questioned about rocker Yash, Ravi Teja remarked that he had only seen Yash in ‘KGF’ and felt himself fortunate to have worked on a film like that.

This comment, unsurprisingly, did not sit well with Yash's devoted and large audience, who saw Ravi Teja's comments as a show of jealously toward the former's incredible achievement. The interview tape quickly went viral, sparking a social media fight that included not just Yash and Ravi Teja supporters, but also Yash's adversaries.

Fans have been calling for a boycott of ‘Tiger Nageswara Rao’ in response to what they consider to be Ravi Teja's 'disrespectful' remark regarding Yash. The film stars Ravi Teja and newcomer Nupur Sanon in the key roles, as well as Anupam Kher, Sudev Nair, Renu Desai, Hareesh Peradi, Gayatri Bharadwaj, and others. G. V. Prakash Kumar's music for the film was released on September 5, 2023, with the first single, Ek Dum Ek Dum, followed by the second song, Veedu, on September 21, 2023. The film is set to be released on October 20, 2023.
