Superstar Suriya not playing double role in Bala’s film
For quite some time now, rumours have been doing the round that South superstar Suriya will be featuring a double role in national award-winning director Bala’s next film #Suriya41. It was being said that while one character of Suriya will be a normal one, the other would be deaf and dumb. However, a source close to the project has denied this claim and stated that there is no ‘dual role’ of Suriya in the film.
“Suriya is playing only one character in the film, but it will be an intense one, something which requires a lot of effort from the actor. Krithi Shetty is paired opposite Suriya, while Mollywood actress Mamitha Baiju will be playing his sister; she has an equally important role. The team is shooting in Kanyakumari and will go to Madurai next. This will be at least a 40-day-long schedule. After this, they will head to Goa,” clarified the source.
On Monday, Suriya had announced that he has commenced shooting for his next film with the National Award-winning director Bala. As per reports, the movie is a rural entertainer and is being produced by 2D Entertainment, the production house owned by Suriya.
Expressing his excitement to be teaming up with Bala after "Nandha" (2001) and "Pithamagan" (2003), the 46-year-old actor addressed the director as his mentor and said he has been waiting to hear action from him.
