The versatile actor Tamannaah Bhatia visited Melbourne, Australia for their Indian Film Festival. The actor attended several press meets and gave interviews about her earlier work and shared an insight into what is upcoming. The actor was invited on stage for the lamp lighting ceremony at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne Awards (IFFM) 2022.

Tamannaah was accompanied on stage by actor Taapsee Pannu and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.

When Tamannaah was called to light the lamp following Taapsee, she took a moment to remove her footwear. A woman on stage appreciated the actor for the respectful gesture and she replied graciously, "It's just South Indian tradition." Actor Taapsee helped Tamannaah get back into her heels after. Several fans were impressed by the gesture and appreciated the actor for being so true to her roots. Although it is human to compare and on social media the comparisons are vividly seen some users questioned why Taapsee and Anurag didn’t follow Tamannaah.

Apart from this, Tamannaah has an interesting lineup of upcoming projects. She will soon be seen leading Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Babli Bouncer’. In a recent interview, she shared, “'Babli Bouncer', where I am playing a bouncer, itself is a huge opportunity to represent a strong female character. The world is essentially male-dominated and you don't really see too many female bouncers, but actually there are a lot of female bouncers that we don't know about. Of course internationally it's common, but even in India it largely exists. But I guess a story has never been told about something like that. So that's definitely a project that I'm very proud of.”
