The Road: Trisha begins filming her next film with debutant filmmaker Arun Vaseegaran
Trisha, who is one of South’s busiest actresses, was last seen as the female protagonist in the film 96 (2018), opposite Vijay Sethupati after which she featured in Rajinikanth's film Petta (2019) for a brief cameo. She'll be seen on the big screen shortly in Mani Ratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan, which is set to hit theaters on September 30.
The actress has now signed another project. The film, titled The Road, will be directed by debutant Arun Vaseegaran and produced by AAA Cinema.
The actress has already officially signed her next Tamil film opposite Arun Vaseegaran, who is making his directorial debut. The Road is the title of the film, which was launched on April 25. On Monday morning, after the muhurat puja, shooting for the film begins. The movie would be filmed in Madurai for 50 days, according to reports.
Trisha, Santhosh Prathap, Shabeer, Miya George, and MS Bhaskar star in Arun Vaseegaran's film. According to sources, The Road is based on a true story that occurred in Madurai several decades ago. The film's plot is yet to be revealed. Sam CS composed the soundtrack for the film, and KG Venkatesh and Nagooran will be involved in cinematography and editing. It is predicted that the film's producers will soon make an announcement on their social media accounts about the film's progress.
Meanwhile, Trisha has wrapped filming on her first web series, in which she plays a police officer. She also has the release of Sathuranga Vettai, a much-anticipated film that is yet to hit theaters.
