South hottie Vijay Deverakonda is currently the toast of B-town. The 33-year-old south actor, who forayed into films in 2011 but shot into the spotlight in the last few years, is an alpha-male, both on screen and off it.

A sex symbol, Vijay Deverakonda is the hottest star on the block right now, exuding a raw masculinity that’s hard to ignore. His fans love many things about him, especially his rakish smile and his rugged sex appeal.

Currently looking forward to his multi-lingual film Liger (2022) which releases on August 25, Vijay has got Bollywood in awe of himself. Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Liger features the Arjun Reddy (2017) actor as the titular MMA fighter boxer alongside Ananya Panday, Ronit Roy and Ramya Krishnan in pivotal roles. American boxer Mike Tyson plays an extended cameo, thus making his acting debut in Indian cinema.

While Liger marks the debut of Deverakonda in Hindi cinema, the actor has been getting a lot of Hindi film offers off lately. Several top notch directors and producers are vying with one another to cast Vijay in their films. However, the actor hasn’t signed any new bollywood projects as he wishes to see how Hindi audiences react to his performance in Liger.

“Vijay has received a lot of offers from Bollywood directors but he has politely declined the offers. He first wants to gauge audiences’ reactions to Liger. He wants to know how the audience reacts to it, what changes he needs to make and what preparations he needs to do in order to take up more Bollywood projects,” revealed a source close to the actor.

Deverakonda, who plays a kickboxer with a stutter in Liger, underwent a dramatic physical transformation for his role and went to Thailand for martial arts training. After Janhvi Kapoor refused the offer due to date issues, Ananya Panday was cast opposite him in the film.

Written and directed by Puri Jagannadh, Liger is scheduled to be released on 25 August 2022 in Hindi and Telugu along with dubbed versions in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
