Anoop Soni, the face of Crime Patrol, has now quit the show!
Anoop, who started hosting the show from 2010, has said goodbye to it after 8 long years.

Crime Patrol is one of the first non-fiction shows of India which received a widespread acclaim. The first season of the crime reality anthology series aired in 2003 and since then, it became the longest-running show of its genre. The show reached another level when in 2010, Anoop Soni joined it as the host and in no time, both, the show and the actor became household names. But after hosting for 8 long years, the actor has now bid a goodbye to the show.
Anoop, who is currently serving his notice period, spoke to a leading daily and said, "Yes, I am quitting the show." He further stated, "Eight years is a long time and I have had a beautiful journey on the show. However, I miss acting. I am an actor first. I haven’t acted on TV in five years."
When asked about someone else replacing him, the actor said about the disappointment his viewers might face. He said, "I know it could be, but I am sure that the audience will also understand my situation. It has been a long time and I don’t want to become monotonous. I have been involved and passionate about every episode that I have shot and can’t be casual about hosting. However, I cannot kill the actor in me and expect people to understand. The show will always hold a special place in my heart. I now want to experiment with roles as an actor."
The actor is a reputed name in the small screen industry as well in the film industry, so it will be awaited to see which project he chooses the next.
