Devoleena Bhattacharjee is currently shooting her next project with seasoned actors Renuka Shahane and Ananth Mahadevan. She recently spoke up about the discrimination that TV stars face in the profession in an interview.

She made a shocking confession. Hina Khan, who came before Devoleena, also made alarming revelations about the profession. Hina Khan stated in an interview that they are willing to work if given the opportunity. She even admitted that TV stars are looked down upon.

In an interview, Bhattacharjee, a former Bigg Boss contestant said, "There are two things... One is what we say to stay politically correct, and the other is what we actually practice. These days, we get to hear people talking about the line being blurred between different platforms, be it TV, OTT, or Bollywood. But discrimination still exists and Hina was just stating the facts."

"Even today, when we go for an audition for a film, most of the time we get rejected with the tag 'you are a TV actor'. All of us are working very respectfully and we have our steady fan base. But still, there is a practice of looking down upon TV actors,” she added.

Devoleena is currently awaiting the release of her next project, a short film directed by Laksmi R Iyer titled First Second Chance. On June 5, the film will be released on Disney+Hotstar.
